QatarDebate Academy
QatarDebate Academy runs at least once a year and is a specialty debate training program designed to meet the current needs of the debate community. Generally, they are 5-day trainings with morning sessions devoted to theory sessions with practice debates held each afternoon.
QatarDebate Academy I was held in November 2009 as a 5-day intensive training. Both local and international students and teachers attended from over 12 countries including Lebanon, Palestine, Uganda, China, New Zealand, and the United States of America.
QatarDebate Academy II was held in December 2009 and January 2010 in the Sultanate of Oman. Qatari and Omani debaters trained in English and Arabic with highly renowned debate coaches from around the world.
QatarDebate Academy III was held in conjunction with the 1st International Universities Arabic Debating Championships here in Doha in April 2011. Students and teachers from many Arabic-speaking countries like Sudan, UAE, Bahrain, Malaysia, and Palestine. Students, coaches, and judges received 5 days of training and practice debates before the competition began.
