The second day of the championship - 11th of April – kicked off with rounds between the debaters constituting of 5 rounds during the first and second day of the championship. Qualifying teams to the quarter finals will be announced tomorrow morning.

Under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation the third international Schools Arabic Debating Championship continues.

50 volunteers participating third international Schools Arabic Debating Championship

Several institutions and ministries participated at the Third International Schools Arabic Debating Championship.

The heritage exhibition that took place during the Third International Schools Arabic Debating Championship attracted many participants who enjoyed the Qatari traditions.

Under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, QatarDebate Center organizes the third international Schools Arabic Debating Championship at Qatar National Convention Center which was launched on the 10th of April and will be concluded on Wednesday 13th of April. In this year’s championship 54 teams are taking part from Arab and non-Arab countries.

The second day of the championship - 11th of April – kicked off with rounds between the debaters constituting of 5 rounds during the first and second day of the championship. Qualifying teams to the quarter finals will be announced tomorrow morning.

A press conference was also held for participants from non-Arab countries. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine and Croatia coaches confirmed at the press conference that their participation this year is important since it allows them to communicate with other countries. The coaches shared their thanks and gratitude to the State of Qatar for its role in spreading the Arabic language across the world.

The volunteers had a major role during the third international Schools Arabic Debating Championship. Their contribution was a key factor in the success of the championship.  Participating teams praised the role played by volunteers in helping to provide all means of comfort and support during the championship.

Ms. Aisha Yousef Al Nasef – Program Specialist at QatarDebate center and the head of the volunteer committee - confirmed that 50 volunteers are participating in the championship.
