About 'An introduction to debating':

"Are you a student? Maybe a teacher? A parent?
Have you been debating for many years? Or will this be your first debate?

However involved or experienced you are as a debater, QatarDebate’s 5 disc ‘Introduction to debating’ provides a structured introduction to the world of debate, providing coaching, exercises and demonstration debates by QatarDebate’s team of experienced coaches.

Disc 1 – An Introduction to debating
A structured coaching workshop lasting 90 minutes that will introduce you to the basics of debating and provides advice on how to improve you content, style and strategy in debates.

Disc 2 – Debating games & exercises
Twelve interactive games and exercises that can be recreated in the classroom or a debating society and will help build the skills of debaters of all abilities.

Discs 3 – 5: Demonstration debates
Three demonstration debates covering three different topic areas in debating: banning smoking, negotiating with terrorists, and the merits of censorship. These debates demonstrate coaches putting their own advice on content, style and strategy into practice in live debates.
