QatarDebate, a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, organized the Arbitration Academy in the Sultanate of Oman during the period from 22-26 December 2019 in coordination with the National Youth Committee and with the participation of 24 trainees.

With the aim of developing the level of arbitrators and relying on them in the arbitration of international tournaments organized by the Center and enabling them to arbitration skills, removing obstacles and facilitating the decision-making process without any procedural or technical error.

The opinions of some participants about the importance of the arbitration academy

The participants praised the importance of the arbitration academy and the inclusion of clear technical criteria for evaluating the debaters from several aspects related to the foundations of the debates themselves.

Some spoke about the most positive things about the arbitration academy, where the coach gave an opportunity to the participants to mention the most important dilemmas that should be removed from the arbitration table.

The participants emphasized overcoming these dilemmas through deepening the open discussions and the adequate explanation that helped them to understand all aspects of arbitration.
