More than 100 youth from 75 countries gather to build a better future

Doha Forum Youth Edition – kicks off in Doha on Friday, November 17, 2023, Powered by Qatar Debate Center. The event will span over 3 days and will be held in the Education City and the Qatar National Museum.

It is anticipated that the Youth Edition will see the participation of 100 young people, trainers, and influencers representing 75 countries, in addition to 25 participants from the State of Qatar.

Under the title “Building a Shared Future”, the Youth Edition offers an opportunity to hear the voices of the youth in discussing global issues covering five main areas: international relations and defense, politics, economy and development, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity and data privacy, artificial intelligence, and sustainability.

Doha Forum Youth Edition serves as a platform for dialogue, where the youth take on roles in achieving development and progress in societies. It opens the participation door for the age group of 18-33 years to discuss general and contemporary issues. Key questions will be posed during the sessions and discussed among the speakers and attendees.

The Youth Edition also aims to train young people in negotiation skills, avoid repetitive negotiation formats, present new positive solutions, and the ability to express with sufficient confidence that supports and influences the point of view.

Through the forum sessions, influential political and social figures from diverse backgrounds will participate, in addition to members of the Qatar Debate Center.

There will be two roundtable discussions aiming to enhance interactive dialogue among all participants and to extract the most important outcomes that will be directed to decision-makers at the main event “Doha Youth Forum”.

Participants in Doha Forum Youth Edition will engage in various activities to develop their skills and enrich their knowledge, in addition to informational tours and visits to some of the heritage landmarks in the State of Qatar.

This event is considered one of the purposeful activities of the Qatar Debates Center, as it emphasizes the importance of dialogue in addressing contemporary issues, shared challenges, and discussing them through dialogic circles and discussion sessions.

Following on from the Youth Edition, Doha Forum, one of the world’s premier policy gatherings, will reconvene under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar, on 10 and 11 December this year.
